I was of the opinion that they could have just added functionality to the existing Topaz Studio, but it seems Topaz is moving away from creative effects toward enhancement only (intending to be best in class in those areas).Īs for comparison, some are saying Resize is exceeding the capabilities of Gigapixel. I understand from the Topaz forum discussions with the developers that they intend to finish the migration of all standalone capabilities to Photo AI and proceed from there going forward.

Photo AI currently has the base functionalities of all 3 standalones included, but the fine tuning is still taking place.
